Slow Release Oxygen Chemistry for applications of Enhanced Aerobic Bioremediation

Enhanced aerobic bioremediation via introduction of oxygen is used to stimulate the proliferation of indigenous microorganisms and accelerate biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons, some fuel oxygenates and select chlorinated compounds.

For Environmental Applications

PTS was designed to enhance biological degradation processes but it also facilitates degradation in mechanical remediation systems such as SVE, DPE, MPE and Air Sparge because those systems help induce oxygen and the bacteria still need PTS to increase the rate of biodegradation resulting in faster cleanup.

In the case of surface spills of oil and refined fuels on land, in rivers or spills in the ocean, PTS works aggressively to help solubilize the pure phase petroleum and heavy hydrocarbons and promotes aggressive biodegradation. It is completely safe to aquatic ecosystems, humans, and other living organisms and is actually ideal for sustainable rejuvenation of soil for reuse in the environment.
